It was obligatory for Kaunas citizens and, of course, to the militia and soldiers of the occupation army to take part in May Day and October Revolution demonstrations.

It was advisable to drink alcohol and to dance and sing when you got warm. It was harmful to your health, career and so on to think what the demonstrations meant.
